As a first review, I have a 16 gallon shop vac craftsman who uses a filter "red-band. The VCA is about 2 + years, so I was probably due to new filter. Although measurements of this Replacement filters are slightly different from the original filter Craftsman, this substitution in the form just fine, but require the use of the original cap in place of the old filter that provided so that it can be assured the proper position on the vacuum filter . No problem -fits well. I am very pleased with this product and would definitely buy one again on payment of an outrageous amount to buy one at Sears.

Sooner or later you're going to need a new filter for your shop vac. Mine is a hard surface, and finally filter out after sucking tons of water, dust, dirt, leaves, and basically anything that would fit up the tube. Rather than buy a new vac, I searched around for a new filter, and found this guy. It 's more convenient than getting a new vac, although my becoming a bit' old. Anyway, replace the old filter was a breeze. This filter fitted as a glove, and my vac is now back in action andready for more abuse.

I recently inherited a 16-liter rigid shop vac is several years old. The existing filter was a mess and was very "floppy". I was pleased to note that this replacement filter has a mesh support inside the cylinder. They fit perfectly and works well. Be sure to keep the nut that holds the old filter, you must use it as a replacement. Seems like a reasonable price.
