I use this stand to hold a Shure B52 kick drum mic. It is even better at holding a mic up to a guitar amp. My heavy kick drum mic will tip it over if I go to full boom extension. Works pretty well for general purpose work – just can’t go to full length on the boom to go deep into the drum. 4 stars vs. 5 because of this.
